On the auspicious occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi, citizens, institutions and sansthas across Jaipur traditionally distribute water, sharbat, juice and falahar items. Register your camp with Nagar Nigam in advance so we can allocate locations, ensure cleanliness and coordinate with traffic police.

About Nirjala Gyaaras

Nirjala Ekadashi (निर्जला एकादशी), popularly called Nirjala Gyaaras, is observed in the Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha. Devotees fast without water through the day. Across Jaipur, thousands of citizens and sansthas voluntarily set up piau (water booths) and sharbat camps for the public.

To prevent duplication, ensure water quality, manage waste and coordinate with traffic police, Nagar Nigam is formalising registration of all such seva camps.

Guidelines for Sponsors

Use clean, covered containers for water and sharbat.
Provide disposable / biodegradable cups; segregate waste.
Do not obstruct footpaths, traffic lanes or shop entrances.
Ice cream / shrikhand must be kept cold to avoid spoilage.
Display your Nagar Nigam Registration ID at the stall.

Responsibilities of the Sponsor

Maintenance of hygiene and quality of food/beverages served.
Ensuring the availability and functionality of electricity, cold storage, ice boxes, storage units, and other required equipment.
Arrangement of all pots, utensils, dispensers, glasses, and related serving materials.
Deployment of volunteers/manpower required for smooth service operations.
Compliance with all safety, cleanliness, and public convenience norms.

Allocation Criteria

Applicants applying for more than one location shall be considered based on their proposed serving capacity and ability to cater to the maximum number of beneficiaries.

Cultural Activities

Sponsors may play devoltional music and bhajans at the site. However, all expenses related to such activities shall be borne entirely by the sponsor.
